From the Fields to the Crease — Fatima Fertilizer Brings Farmers Face-to-Face with Multan Sultans

Fatima Fertilizer Puts Farmers in the Spotlight at Exclusive Multan Sultans Meet & Greet

Dealers, Farmers, and the Entire Multan Sultans Team Come Together at Mövenpick Hotel in a Celebration of Cricket, Community, and an Eight-Year Partnership

Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, Title Sponsor of the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), hosted an exclusive Meet & Greet event at Mövenpick Hotel, Karachi, bringing together the entire Multan Sultans Team, company dealers, and the farming community in a memorable evening that celebrated cricket, community, and an eight-year partnership built on shared identity and pride. Eight seasons in, this partnership continues to thrive with each passing year — reflecting a shared vision, strong collaboration, and a deep-rooted connection to the communities both organisations proudly serve.

The event brought this partnership to life, giving Fatima Fertilizer’s dealer network and farming community an up-close experience with their cricket heroes. Attendees interacted with the Multan Sultans team, collected autographs, and took photographs with their favourite players. Among the guests were winners of the Sarsabz Golden Ticket — a farmers’ engagement campaign now in its fourth PSL season, through which participants who uploaded photographs with a Sarsabz bag on Facebook were shortlisted as winners. The three selected farmers were then invited as special guests to the event, where they interacted with and met their favourite Multan Sultans players.

“This partnership is a source of immense pride for everyone at Fatima Fertilizer. We have been with the Multan Sultans since the very beginning — through every season, every milestone, and every victory. Eight years on, this is not just a sponsorship; it is a bond rooted in the soil of South Punjab and a shared love for cricket. We know how deeply Pakistanis love this game, and we are honoured to stand alongside the Sultans as they continue to inspire millions across the country.”— Ms. Rabel Sadozai, Director Marketing & Sales, Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited.

“Fatima Fertilizer is not just a sponsor — they are family. The legacy of this eight-year partnership speaks for itself, and it is a privilege to step into this role knowing that a partner of this stature stands alongside the Multan Sultans. I am energised by the shared vision and values that Fatima Fertilizer brings to this association, and together, I believe we will take this partnership to even greater heights. We both represent the pride of South Punjab, and I look forward to writing the next chapter of this journey together.” — Mr. Gohar Shah, Chief Executive Officer, Multan Sultans.

The meet and greet event stands as a powerful example of how Fatima Fertilizer continues to use the platform of cricket to give back to the communities that form the backbone of its business — the farmers of Pakistan. As the PSL season progresses, Fatima Fertilizer remains committed to delivering meaningful experiences that connect the farming community with the national passion for cricket.

This partnership with KUSC reflects our broader commitment to building healthier, more active communities across Pakistan. From supporting national platforms such as the HBL PSL, which are helping revive sporting culture and bringing international players back to Pakistani grounds, to investing in grassroot initiatives, our focus remains on creating sustainable, community-wide impact through sport.”

Sharing his views on the partnership, Mr. Ali Atta Director Football said: “Karachi United has always believed in using football as a platform for inclusion and positive social change.
PTCL Group Reaffirms Commitment to Arshad Nadeem’s Journey Towards Greater Heights

Lahore, May 21, 2025 – PTCL Group (Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited & Ufone 4G), Pakistan’s leading telecommunications and ICT services provider, has once again stepped forward to support national javelin icon and Olympian Arshad Nadeem not just as a partner, but as a steadfast believer in his purpose and potential. A signing ceremony, held in Lahore, marks a renewed commitment to stand by Arshad through every stage of his journey, driven not by outcomes, but by his discipline, passion, and unshakable belief.
Arshad Nadeem, who has brought immense pride to Pakistan with his remarkable achievements like becoming the first Pakistani track and field athlete to qualify directly for the Olympics, securing gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, earning a silver medal at the 2023 World Athletics Championships and to top it all by winning gold at the Paris Olympics 2024, continues to inspire the nation with his dedication and perseverance.
Saif Uddin Khan, Group Vice President, Brands & Communication, PTCL & Ufone 4G, said, “We’ve always believed in Arshad not because he wins medals, but because he embodies something greater i.e. courage, consistency, and character. We are proud to stand beside him again, not just to support a campaign, but to be part of a greater purpose.”
Arshad Nadeem expressed his thoughts, “PTCL Group stood by me when recognition was far away. That kind of belief gives an athlete strength on the field and off it. Now, as I step into another defining phase of my journey, I’m proud to have them with me again. It’s not just about results, it’s about showing the world what Pakistan’s spirit looks like.”
This year, Arshad will represent Pakistan in three major global events, the Asian Athletics Championships, the World Athletics Championships, and the Diamond League and once again, PTCL Group will back him, just as it did before the Paris Olympics when it offered unwavering support months ahead of global recognition. This continued partnership reflects a shared journey of grit, discipline, and the unrelenting passion to raise Pakistan’s flag on the world stage.
PTCL Group is also fully funding Arshad Nadeem’s upcoming international training stint in the United Kingdom, ensuring access to world-class coaching, top-tier facilities, and a competitive environment that matches his global ambition.

PTCL Group has consistently reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sports and youth development in Pakistan. We are supporting the greatest icon Babar Azam in cricketing world; however, the Group’s sports vision goes beyond cricket. From supporting the national volleyball team during the Central Asian Volleyball Championship, where Team Pakistan secured a historic victory on home soil, to backing the resurgence of Pakistan’s hockey team by raising awareness and rekindling national pride in the sport, the Group remains dedicated to uplifting athletes who embody the spirit, resilience, and determination of the nation.
Through Arshad Nadeem and many others, PTCL Group reaffirms its belief: greatness doesn’t begin with applause, it begins with trust. And that belief, when backed by action, moves a nation forward. Ends

Lahore Qalandars crushed defending champions Islamabad United by 95 runs in Eliminator 2 to reach HBL Pakistan Super League final on Friday.

Electing to bat first, Lahore Qalandars posted a competitive total, powered by solid performances from their batsmen. In response, Islamabad United struggled to build momentum, losing wickets at crucial stages.

United’s innings was derailed early as Muhammad Shahzad was dismissed for a duck by Shaheen Shah Afridi, while Sahibzada Farhan managed just 3 runs before falling to Salman Mirza. Rassie van der Dussen contributed 7 runs but was caught behind by Kusal Perera off Mirza’s bowling, leaving them reeling at 13 for 3.

Imad Wasim was sent up the order but he too fell after scoring just eight, leaving the team at 33 for 4.

At that moment, Salman Agha joined captain Shadab Khan as the duo stemmed the flow of wickets, forging a 49-run partnership. Agha showed some resistance with 33 runs off 26 balls, striking four boundaries and one six, but could not anchor the innings.

Captain Shadab Khan attempted to steer the innings with a brisk 26 runs from 14 balls, including three sixes, but fell to Rishad Hossain. James Neesham was dismissed cheaply for 8, caught and bowled by Hossain, which eventually sealed United’s fate.

The tail failed to show any resistance as United were bundled out for 107 in 15.1 overs, with nine batters failing to reach double figures. Extras were the third-highest contributor with 11 runs.

Lahore Qalandars’ bowlers dominated the processdings, with skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi leading from the front by taking three wickets while conceding just as many runs. Mirza and Hossain also delivered crucial breakthroughs with three wickets between them.

With a commanding 95-run victory, Lahore Qalandars storm into the final, where they will face Quetta Gladiators on Sunday.

Earlier, Mohammad Naeem and Kusal Perera scored half-centuries as Lahore Qalandars set a 203-run target for defending champions.

Opting to bat first, Qalandars had a shaky start when Fakhar Zaman, who played a match-winning knock of 47 against Karachi Kings the previous day, was dismissed in the second over for just 12 runs.

Mohammad Naeem, joined by Abdullah Shafique, steadied the ship with a 71-run partnership. Naeem scored a blistering half-century off just 24 balls, hitting seven fours and two sixes, but was dismissed off the very next delivery.

Shafique looked set for another big score, but his innings was cut short when Shadab Khan took an outstanding catch to end his 25 runs knock.

With three wickets down, the Sri Lankan duo of Kusal Perera and Bhanuka Rajapaksa took charge and together they made a 48-run stand. Rajapaksa was dismissed after a powerful 22-run knock, but it was Perera who played the defining innings. He scored a vital 61 runs to help his team post a total beyond 200.

A brief cameo from Asif Ali further lifted the Qalandars’ total, bringing them to 202/8 in 20 overs.

Tymal Mills was the standout bowler, taking three wickets, well supported by Salman Irshad, who claimed two scalps. However, Naseem Shah struggled again, conceding 52 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket.

Both teams are eyeing their fourth final of the tournament, with the winner set to face Quetta Gladiators in the trophy match on Sunday.

Islamabad United: Shadab Khan (Captain), Sahibzada Farhan, Rassie van der Dussen, Haider Ali, Agha Salman, James Neesham, Imad Wasim, Tymal Mills, Naseem Shah, Muhammad Shahzad, Salman Irshad.

Lahore Qalandars: Shaheen Afridi (Captain), Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Naeem, Abdullah Shafique, Kusal Perera, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Asif Ali, Shakib Al Hasan, Haris Rauf, Rishad Hossain, Salman Mirza.
